Here you will find dozens of delightful short English nursery rhymes which have been entertaining little children for centuries. Mother Goose is the name given to the collection of these sweet and often nonsensical verses.
They are very short and so we have created 'lectures' of roughly 2 minutes each, which consist of 3 nursery rhymes. Each rhyme has been beautifully illustrated by Federick Richardson in this Volland Edition of the book. The imaginative illustrations bring to life these short songs.
Come and meet Little Bo Peep who has lost her sheep, the Old Lady who lived in a shoe, and Simple Simon wanting a pie and dozens of others.
With catchy rhythm and simple verse these rhymes are easy to listen to and very easy to learn, setting the foundation for good language acquisition.
Each lecture has a quiz to check comprehension and a vocabulary and expression section so you can learn and understand new words and saying. With a total of 33 rhymes we have here almost an hour of listening pleasure.
With verses about animals, children, people, nature we learn about hardships, and poverty, small pleasures and strange people. They are quintessentially English and describe historical times, clothes and ways of being.
All English children are very familiar with these rhymes with some being more popular then others.
Keep your children entertained and amused as well as learning the basics of English language.
Hi I'm Cecile
"I am so happy to be bringing you this fabulous Mother Goose nursery rhyme book, with these exquisite illustrations. Nursery rhymes form the basis of good language skills as the way they are written creates a rhythm that is easy to hear and to remember. We used to say these little songs over and over again when I was a young child and l still heed to some of the good advice that is in them.
I know your children will love them!"
